Facebook Groups: Crowdsourced Unemployment Help

A friend of mine asked me about some unemployment questions, I tried to help out with no luck, then I thought, ‘There has to be a Facebook Group for unemployment help in CT,” and there was a Facebook Group. I sent her the link, and she said it was exactly what she needed. That got me thinking, I’m sure there are other states who have groups as well, and there are.

Job loss in normal circumstances is hard enough. Unemployment offices are flooded with claims at an unprecedented rate. There are countless news stories of people calling unemployment offices hundreds of times with no luck.

I compiled a list of as many state-specific unemployment support groups I could find on Facebook.
